I have used LaDawna as book editor on three of my novels. She has done an outstanding job. In addition to finding misspelled words and punctuation errors, she highlights unnecessary wording, indicates where a more concise word might be more effective, and recommends better sentence structuring when needed. She identifies where acronyms or technical concepts need to be explained. She identifies weaknesses in story lines where (because my novels are thrillers) the suspense may lag, characters may need more development or more interaction to be likeable/believable, or where a fact mentioned in book 3 is inaccurate from book 2, etc. She highlights areas where a character’s actions seem out of character, or the story seems weak; she then explains why and how it could be improved.
Over the years of my business management career, with much technical, legal and administrative writing, I have developed meticulous proofreading skills. As a writer and author, I have prided myself in having an excellent eye for detail. When I give a manuscript to LaDawna I feel it is without error.
